Scott is passionate about teaching beginners the right way, teaching the importance of safety, concepts and function. When it's time to hit the water, lessons are run in calm, shallow water. These conditions provide a comfortable and safe learning environment. Scott teaches with the support of a Personal Water Craft (PWC), giving you the greatest safety and fastest leaning curve possible. All lessons are taught  progressively—building skills from one lesson to the next.
 

 

Scott has programs to fit your needs for all levels and styles of kiteboarding, from first time beginners to seasoned pros, perfecting such skills as going up wind, boosting giant airs, or unhooked wakestyle tricks, as well as down-the-line waveriding.
 

Beginner Programs

1) Intro to Kiteboarding, 2 to 2.5 hrs: You will learn how to fly a trainer kite properly using proven flying drills for kiteboarding. You will also learn about wind power zones (wind window) and their effect on the kite and very important safety practices and environmental conditions. You will launch, fly, and land a small 5-meter kite. $150.00

2) Ground School, 2 to 2.5 hrs: You will learn kite rigging, managing the bar and lines,  and kite tuning. Training includes performing efficient kite flying drills, self-launching, self-landing, self-rescue, and effective kite water-launching techniques. We emphasize important safety practices, as well as riding etiquette and rider responsibility. $150.00

3) Water Training 2 to 2.5 hrs: You will learn power-up techniques to propel yourself across the water (body dragging) and how to drag yourself up wind to retrieve your board. Then you will learn how to water launch the kite. Finally you will work on how to fly the kite and ride the board (kiteboarding). $200.00
